ANSWER: The guy that waits to see if he stops the conversion b4 he complains! - I hate players who dont play SIM style football and unrealistic 4th down gambles are my personal `pet peeve`- but u have to speak up b4 the conversion! Dont wait to see if u stop him - than complain if you dont! - THIS IS EVEN WORSE! - push pause and say something to him (via PSN or MIC)... It is possible he is confused over the rules (and he can call a timeout and punt)- but if u don`t make this objection - I am enclined to possibly even side with the CHZer (WOW! never thought i would say that!) - although his actions are total BS - YOUR SELF SERVING ACTIONS ARE WORSE!

4th down you should be able to go but it should be a certain yardage I feel 4th and short is so easy its not sim maybe you should have to throw ( only throw) from goaline stance ( and playaction that way its hard to convert) on 4th and 3 or less you can do you that sounds fair and it should be past the 40 of your opponent ( like 40 yards for a td ) ...

because sim means as close to realistic as possible correct well in the nfl it happens alot when teams feel they need to be aggressive or if theyre down shortly or just feel they arent the better player/team or opening drive for momentum you should be allowed to go for it but also gotta make sure you dont take away from a good d performance ..

i asked booboo2k9, 'wtf are you doing it's fourth and 15 in the 2nd and its tied'. to which he replies 'converting or going for it or something'. i was gonna save the highlight but naturally it was one of those, 'there is no replay available' ones. he failed to complete a pass vs punt return by the way...

i out of respect always message my opponent if its 4th down and i think it would be beneficial to go, such as 4th and short inside the 2 or something. but i'd rather tell him why im goin and if he objects thats fine, but i expect the same do be done in an equal situation.

thanks johhny, and ya know sometimes it's better to take a second and ask the guy how he feels about it, there is someone on the other end remember? i know for instance the other night i was losin to kavorka in the 4th and had to run and play another gm before the guy got offline so since it was pretty much over after i fumbled in the 4th...again...i quit and logged on my other account, sent him a message sayin gg i hate madden etc etc and played the other dude. course, he thought i just quit and went offline since i logged out (my bad again) but i was in a hurry. point is, so long as you talk to the guy usually you can avoid all the post-game should'ves and would'ves cause everyone has their own interpretation of sportsmanship. i dont care if i guy quits, we all been there with bad gms. but just message me and say gg, play the cpu...thats fine. or if he wants to go for it on 4th and a mile down a couple scores, ok...at least say "i wanna go for this because..."

its the guys that just blatantly disregard any flexibility on rules or respect. but like greener said, its not gonna resolve itself if you don't address the issue early or before he converts 4th and whatever to his benefit. if more people would just pause the game, and message the other guy to clear it up a lot of these issues could be resolved...fair play can be balanced between two people and not necessarily dictated by one rule. there are so many situations in football, its hard to put a set rule on 4th downs...so just talk it out, then your both on the same level.

but no I completely agree but there are some guys who just get under my skin..dont follow the time out rule at all drives me nuts ..i mean once ok by accident or u forgot fine heck ill slip up every1 does with minor rules ...

as for losing I really think you should just finish the game out .. but there are situations so I do understand but should at least have a rule where the guy cant do that until hes def lost or its the 4th quater and its at least 2 scores..bc sometimes the cpu uses ur team better than you do ..or plays the d better and kills that team and now a win becomes a loss..

so we have to be careful with allowing quiting but I dont think it should be banned..but monitored could be a good word for what we should do..

I just really hope every1 looks at these pages and sites bc I hate that u only get 5 pauses ( then again its a decent solid # I can only imagine if some1 just non stop paused a fucking game id go nuts ) but that gives you only 5 chances to explain yourself or ask if you can do something

perhaps we should all have text available to ask for a TO of the other persons ...if it comes to that point just in case...im just trying to be prepared for any situation and a new guy to the league who doesnt know the rules doesnt get on here before he plays a game ( maybe its not his fault hit opp messages him so he plays thinkn thats the right thing showing hes ready n all) thats alot to explain lol ...


also would any1 want to join a league if I was commish ..I was 1 before but I recruited poorly ( before I knew alot of you guys ) now that I know there are gamers like me I want to have my own league .. some1 mentioned theyd even help me recruit but im just trying to see if any1 would play in my league itd be pretty much the same rules except more like christonites final rules ( wich bend more towards what your allowed to do in tricky situations like 4th n 2 .. u can but only certain times you know ) I helped make that movement lol .. if you would reply here so every1 can see it would be active ( also I am extremely active and will move the league at a fast pace but slow enough where every1 should get their games in more often than not..holidays slow it down of course )

I disagree I hate when some one quits just cause he losing inless its a emergency not calling u out ff81 but we all play online so we can play humans not cpu people need to just man up take there losses think about it this way how would u feel if u was watching a game a mid way threw the 3rd qtr one team just left cause they were losing that wouldn't be kool quitting is just as bad of unsportsmanship as running up the score IMO but maybe I am the only one who really just hate playing the cpu

I said there should be a rule when you can bc the cpu can pull things off against us that you werent and your so adjusted to the the guy your playing ( sort of a mind game you know) you have a style you stick to to keep him beaten .. the cpu would ruin that and possibly injure more ppl and who knows

so it should be a score thats ridiculous where your playing your backups or emergencys of course always should be considered as well as 4th quater when theres no chance of a come back , you can figure that out by the score very easily if he needs 10 points or less you dont need 5 mins to do that ... though its hard its possible .. 21 points with 5 mins? possible? yes ..but probably not gonna happen if the cpu takes over .. 5 mins just dont play dumb or prevent and obviously just run run run punt and try your best

cpu always seems to get me somehow so I hate playing the cpu unless I start the game against them then its different but its a complete change of momentum or something when the cpu comes to play and theyre losing ....

but that doesnt mean people should be obligated to finish a game they are getting murdered in

bc ff81 is 1 classy sob and he does have a point on this .. theres room for quiting a game your losing.. me id rather play it out win or lose bc I learn alot and get some stats for my players plus the cpu gets ppl hurt ( usualy your guys..go sim a cpu vs cpu game n youll see what I mean )

maybe it should be established before the game how both ppl feel? like say some1 just wants to quit u can say no but if they told u before hand they have work u may say ok

and if they say they have work and you can prove they didnt ..they cant quit ever again ( or w/e their reason was) ... theres so many different time zones and lifestyles in this league to say we can rule 1 way or another on something so small ( but possibly big ) like quiting

Like I said I understand if its a emergency (work is not a emrgency cause u knew u had to do that before the game started and u just shouldn't have started it) remember u almost always learn more from a L then a win just take the time to practice somethings getting fustrated and quitting is childish but funny things is it has only happened to me once I won multipule games by 50+ points and everyone one mans up in the franchise I just didn't think it was a good post to try to justify and rationallize quitting when is it ok and when it is not.

quick disagreement ..

if a guy has work in an hour .. he wants to get his game in ( sometimes its hard to schedule games ..) his opponents on and he lets the opponent kno 1st hand hey I have work so if this goes till this time I may have to quit ... if hes winning he can run the clock down .. but I believe if you have anytime thats more than 30 mins or 20 mins and its not important ( like maybe going out to a party..u can be late ) u shuld try and squeeze your game in bc our games are taking forever to be finished so if that were a scenario and he was losing ..why cant he quit in the 4th when he had to go..it would of been agreed on before hand ..

I found the worst recently

when a guy nano blitzes calls it an all out blitz sacks u before u hand off constantly so you go shot gun ..score ... then run an score on 1 play then he throws/fumbles like crazy then u use goal line when its 3rd n short in a lg that says its ok then ur in his 10 so you use the goalline to try n score.. u dont

but you still win .. n he claims he got fuckd... WHATT I almost lost bc his bs .. n its 2 bad besides the cheap bs we had a decent game ( bc i manned up n dealt with his bitchn n cheatin.. if it were an all out blitz i could of throw the ball at least.. or the rb would we tackled.. its just bs nanos..even if accidental if you keep doing it even i wont accept that and Im the 1 who said a nano sack is ok by accident..but only 1 in a game then ull get shit 4 it .. n even 1 is too much but it does happen by cpu..but hed just stack every1 around the center )

n then even worse..he accused me of cheatin tryd to get me booted and im still tryn to tell mjkight about it but my message wont send

also sounds like i owe u a beating lol .. i was getting use to the team Im in 5 lgs so that also affects it bc i love playing so i rush to start the game and sometimes pick a playbook that doesnt work well with the team lol ( no excuse there thats just me bn dumb n excited lol)

but yah i remember that game didnt i have u n then slipped up around the 2nd n u just never let off after that .. that game drove me nuts lol

n yah i was building the rooks up idk what happen with them if they built up or not but hopefully offseason n all the team got closer to what i use ( style wise) and some talent to help me out .. ( im forgetting wich team it was lol )
