yellow light of death

so today i turned my ps3 on and tried to load madden and my system just shut off. turn it back on and the yellow light came up. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK. as a result im going to be without a ps3 for a couple days. i went around local to see if i could find a new 1 and everyone is sold out. Im going to get a new one online either tonight or tommorow so ill be back whenever i get it.

yeah it blows. it was my original ps3 lol im just going to buy a new slim 1. ofcourse with the holidays every place local is sold out so im getting 1 online probably tommorow and get it rushed ship so hopefully i will be back in no more than a week

that happened to me, and i made the mistake of sending to to sony for repair. that was 5 months ago, since then i am now on my 4th refurbished model (still waiting for it to arrive) and currently i am renting one from RAC until it gets here. at least you have to money to get a new one, thats def the way to go...don't let sony fix it they'll just send you another broke ass refurb. the last 3 they send all had faulty blue ray drives and stop reading disks, and does sony care? no...they moreless told me to fuck off and get an xbox.

I am my second one (2nd generation...80gb with only 2 usb ports on the front). I'm an idiot...I spend too much money on this shit. I didn't feel like dealing with all the bullshit of waiting for sony to send me a new one...so I just went out and bought one. You would think with as many people who have problems with their ps3...that sony would fix these problems instead of just sending out refurbished pieces of shit. With my first one, that I still have, I originally paid $600 when they first dropped when you couldn't get them anywhere. Oh well...what exactly does the yellow light mean? My first one just stopped reading discs period.

yeah im not even gonna attempt to fuck with sony. i went around local last night and couldnt find 1 i guess because of the holidays and they havent gotten new shipments. but i just got ebgames website and searched locally for it and they say they have it about 20 min from my house. so tonight ill probably go check that out! hopefulllllllllllly they will still have 1 for me when i get there lol i was suppose to play my gm with den last night to sorry dude! hopefully ill be back tonight guys!

Its all good man, dont be sorry, i feel for you tho i really do... going without video games is like going without sex or drugs lollll my original ps3 broke about a year ago.. blue ray drive slowly went and well i sent it to sony, they fixed it and it broke again 6 months later lol... i brought it in to a local repair guy and apparently the "controller" for the bluray reader was weak so he said if he fixed it for about $150 canadian, it would break again in another 6 months... so he offered to buy my old one for parts and i bought a new one... just the console, cuz i already had all the wires and accessories... ran be about $200... was pretty pissed, but the anger went away once i was able to play lol i went and picked up a maxwell bluray cleaning disk at bestuy for about $20 and i clean my bluray reader at least once a week now, and id suggest the same for anyone that has an older model... better to be safe than sorry.. oh and as far as that game goes, its all good, grennerrrr let me play the cpu... sucks for you tho cuz that game had playoff implications, but im sure we'll meet again some time soon... good luck with the new system tho
