rule question

i know the hb direct snap is illegal, not that i ever run it but i have a question regarding using it on a fake punt. i was playin this guy in another league and on 4th and 3 on his 30 he used it, even brought my lb over in case but he got it. no big deal, next set of downs 4th and 2, he comes out in punt formation again so i played goaline just in case. sure enough he does it and converted...i still won the game by a lot as all he did was run goaline tosses with ap or playactions to his fb and quit in the 3rd but i was just wondering if this kind of play is deemed cheesy and unacceptable like the direct snap, as its pretty much the same thing.

think I played that guy .. I played some1 just like that if it wasnt him all he did was what you said tosses in that hb/fb stance but the fb is behind the qb the hb is to the side .. and then the punts...

worst part is after I destroyed him it was his league n my undefeated team got the boot for "cheezing" even though the only time he threw was in the wild cat and said all I did was throw short or over the middle or run ( left right middle..so on) and on d i only was playng 3-4 ( I had pitts play book..its really all they have and it was working..diff plays ..same formation..cheezing?) so I got the boot by sum1 jus like him


so I feel your pain man I hate it bc win or lose its not even a game your not learning anything new or where your team/you are weak or what your improving at or just noticed you can do .. new plays so on or how to defend certain situations better or w/e just the same ole bs thats what cheezers really dont get .. its not just that your possibly using a play that works ..over over and over ( if it even works!!) its that your not giving us or youself a shot at anyfun and in the end its about fun/the win n cheezing wont get them either and certainly doesnt help you at all

would rather lose to the cpu than that bs .. and what would be worse is if they glitch as well ...

fucking ppl.. and Ive even told ppl ..my secrets out I cheeze almost never really I run plays that I think will work ..period if you cant stop it I will remember it and use it if i get desperate and I do love to run but its never the same play..sometimes same formation but Ive never been called a cheezer besides that 1 time I throw I run I will do what it takes within the rules to win... why cant every1 else just follow along that line ( directed at the guy your talking bout n who i was mentioning..not you or any1 else ive played in this league)

nah i don't think this is the same guy, never seen his name before but i'm not gonna call him out. i wouldn't call this guy a cheeser or anything, just probably new to the game. just wanted to know if a fake punt direct snap is illegal too cause its basically the same thing. and i don't mind if someone quits, but at least message me and say gg, finish vs the cpu or something ya know? we've all had those games where nothin goes right, but i usually try and stick it out. and johnny, have you actually been called out for only passing short and medium? ha...really?? i rarely pass deep cause i draft young qb's with no deep ball acc, so why the hell would i blindly throw into the secondary when they keep blitzing and leaving holes all over the place.

lol yah got booted by lb2555 or w/e I even brought him here he was a good commish I thought.. he left this league..couldnt play sim style I guess and I beat him but bc i didnt throw deep or do screens or run less ( different runs I didnt just go i form up the gut i did every run in the run heavy book even full house ) and hes like u cheezed bye .. fuck him lol

im glad you agree you shouldnt have to throw deep..imagine having chad pennington ...but I had rothlesberger but i dont like throwing deep when everything else is working..more risk than reward you know

my qb's always suck, i'm more of a nickle and dime you person so don't see why you go against your game play. if he can't manually audible his d he's gonna be in for hard times

HB direct snaps on punts are legal (its isnt a shotgun formation - its a PUNT) so the rules "wording " stands for u wannabe lawyers!

It should be noted that moving a D-Lineman into a better position to stop the fake punt run - is 1 of the only circumstances u r allowed to shift D-Linman manually in such a way - so when u suspect a fake punt - i suggest moving the oppisite DE and DT in a better position to stop the run - but your return will suffer when u do this - as the ai on these players will be screwed for their blocking assignment - so i suggest only doing so when u think the fake punt is a possibility
